EN 12390‑15:2019 – Testing hardened concrete – Part 15: Adiabatic method for the determination of heat released by concrete during its hardening process.

The standard specifies the procedure to determine the heat released by concrete during its hardening process under adiabatic conditions. It applies to specimens whose maximum aggregate size (Dₘₐₓ) is not greater than 32 mm.

Prinsip kerja

Sampel segar ditempatkan dalam sel kalorimeter untuk memastikan kondisi adiabatik dengan menghindari pertukaran panas dengan lingkungan. Karena kondisi ini tidak dapat dicapai dalam praktik sistem pasif (tidak ada bahan isolasi yang sepenuhnya non-konduktif), suhu ruangan di sekitar spesimen dipaksa untuk sama (atau sedikit lebih rendah, maksimal 0,5°C) dengan suhu sampel selama pengujian.

Dua sensor suhu PT 100 digunakan, satu ditempatkan di dalam sampel dan satu lagi di dalam sel kalorimeter. Pengukuran suhu dilakukan oleh sistem kontrol loop tertutup PID untuk memastikan pengkondisian sampel yang stabil sesuai dengan persyaratan Standar.

The equipment consists of:
· external insulating enclosure
· calorimeter cell
· two platinum PT 100 temperature sensors measuring sample and cell temperatures
· 150mm polystyrene cubic mold
· calorimeter cell conditioning system controlled by a PID closed loop system
· PC software (PC not included)

Specifications
· Up to 6 calorimeter cells can be managed by the same PC software.
· Max concrete temperature: 80°C (some types of material -e.g. concrete with accelerating admixtures and/or high cement content- may overcome this value and damage the equipment. Please ask our technicians).
· Platinum PT 100 having 0.01°C resolution and 0.1°C accuracy.
· Adiabatism error: less than 0.05°C/h.
